It was a society advanced to its time; culture and wisdom were applied to trade, moving from a rural subsistence economy to an urban economy, peasants became merchants who developed their activities in the souks, honesty shone in commercial relationships, different currencies and products were accepted as the salting of fish or the pottery were exported to the whole world … Several centuries later, some of the leading companies in this region decided to join forces to recover the splendor of exports and turn the world into their market.
